The Arnon Dinner
The Arnon Dinner, by invitation only, will be held at 6pm on March 7th, 2018 at the Faculty Club at UC Berkeley.
Appetizers/social hour will be at 6 pm and dinner will start promptly at 7.
History of the Arnon Lecture
The Arnon Lecture honors the late Professor Daniel I. Arnon (1910-1994).
Arnon spent his career at Berkeley, obtaining his Ph.D. in plant nutrition with Dennis R. Hoagland and later joining the faculty. He is best known for his pioneering research in the fields of photosynthesis and plant nutrition. Arnon Lecture 2018
The lecture is held annually in early March. Speakers have made distinguished contributions to photosynthesis or a related field and are selected by the Arnon Lecture Committee.
This year the Arnon Lecturer will be Professor Toshiharu Hase, Institute of Protein Research, Osaka University. Seminar title: “Ferredoxin-protein interactions in energy transduction in photosynthesis”
The Arnon Lecture 2018 will be at noon on March 7th in 101 Barker Hall and is open to the public. A reception will immediately follow in 338 Koshland Hall.
