This is the general schedule that is followed. Individual speakers may have slightly different arrangements.
Tuesday - Arrive at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza.
9:00am-12:00pm - Invidivual meetings with faculty
12:00pm -1:00pm - Give seminar in 101 Barker Hall
1:00pm - 2:30 pm - Lunch with graduate students
2:30pm - 5:00 pm - Invidivual meetings with faculty
6:00 pm - Dinner with your faculty host and selected guests
Thursday - Departure
Most of our seminar speakers stay at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza. The hotel is located a short distance from the UC Berkeley campus and our department. It is also conveniently next to a BART station, with easy access to both SFO and the Oakland Airport. All seminar speakers are generally booked from Tuesday-Thursday (staying at the hotel Tuesday and Wednesday nights). If a speaker would like additional nights at the hotel, those arrangements must be made by the speaker separately.
Our arrangement with Hotel Shattuck is that UC Berkeley can pay the hotel directly for your hotel stay only, per university policy. If you would like to order meals at the hotel (breakfast, etc.) please pay the hotel directly at the time of purchase and submit the expenses as a part of your travel reimbursement.
Due to our complex university travel policies, we very strongly recommend that speakers allow the PMB department to purchase your airfare directly. If you need a different arrangement, please speak to our front desk staff (firstname.lastname@example.org, (510) 642-9999) in advance so that we can ensure you are purchasing a flight that we are allowed to reimburse you for.

Communication with the PMB Admin Team
We are here to help. After your invitation we will be in touch to work out all the details of your trip. We will request your seminar title and provide advance publicity on your visit to our department, other UCB departments, and our affiliates. Communication with your Host
Your host is responsible for introducing you at the seminar, arranging your meeting schedule, and taking you to dinner Wednesday night (the evening of your seminar).
Guest internet accessCalVisitor provides a basic level of Wi-Fi access for those without a CalNet ID. This free (no cost, no passphrase required) service is intended to support the Internet access needs of campus visitors. To access CalVisitor, simply instruct your guests to configure their Wi-Fi enabled device to select CalVisitor as the SSID for their wireless networking needs.
